Best Hotels in Turkey (II)
Last week we gave you four of the best hotels in Turkey. This week we conclude out series with four moreluxurious Turkish resorts.
5. Swissotel The Bosphorus(Istanbul)
The 5-star Swissotel The Bosphorus is beautifully situated on a hilltop within the city centre. It’s one of the best hotels in Turkey and it offers fantastic views of the Bosporus and the historic part of Istanbul. Swissotel’s gardens used to be the gardens of the Dolmabahce Palace, which was the last residence of the Ottoman Sultans. The majority of the rooms and most of the public spaces offer spectacular views of the Bosporus. The elegant and airy decoration of the hotel creates a relaxing atmosphere.Swissôtel The Bosphorus is at 5-minute walk from the district of Nisantasi, one of Istanbul’s most exclusive shopping areas. There are also numerous cafes and restaurants in this area.A 15-minute drive from the hotel takes you to Istanbul’s historic area where you can visit sights such as the Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and the Blue Mosque.Excellent and varied dining options are available at this hotel.
6. Maxx Royal (Belek)
This is another stunning 5-star resort and one of the best hotels in Turkey. Besides the absolutely gigantic pool where you can entertain yourself all day long, Maxx Royal features another amazing attraction: The Dominican Cottages, located in the middle of the pool andsurrounded by vegetation. Renting one of these will make you feel like in some sort of paradise, with Jacuzzi on your porch and a spectacular view.
7. Alva Donna (Belek)
The Cinderella of this list, Alva Donna is also the cheapest hotel among today’s entries. A huge pool surrounded by palm trees, six accommodation units and numerous ways to spend your time (including a la carte restaurants and specific bars) make Alva Donna a medium budget option for those who want a dream holiday in Turkey. It’s definitely one of the best hotels in Turkey.
8. Gural Premier (Tekirova)
At first glance, Gural Premier does not seem to be as impressive as the other entries mainly because it lacks vegetation, which makes it look a little bit “naked”. However, in 2012 it was one of the nominees of the prestigious World Luxury Hotel Awards, which is offered to the most luxurious hotels in the world. This says a lot about the services provided here.Gural Premier remains one of the best hotels in Turkey.
